Manor-house of vasts dimensions, it was ordered to be built by D. Afonso (Duke of Bragança) in the XV century to serve as his residence, being now cosidered as National Monument.
The house has many unique architetonic features, with large roofs and with countless cylindrical fireplaces that goes back to the influency of manor architecture of that time, making it an exceptional model whithin Portugal and Spain.
